To facilitate a seamless transition from the current eligibility system (METS) to MNsure’s new system (MN-EES), it is critical that MNsure has accurate and unique email addresses for both assisters and QHP-eligible consumers. 

• Brokers, Certified navigators and CACs: To access your new MNsure portal in MN-EES, your agency administrator must update your staff record in the Broker Agency Management Program (BAMP) or Agency Management Program (AMP) with a unique SMS-enabled phone number and confirm your unique email address by May 29. The email address will be your username for your new MNsure portal account. If your information is not updated in AMP by May 29, you will experience a delay in accessing your MNsure portal after MN-EES goes live in early July 2026.
• Consumers: During the transition to MNsure’s new system, (MN-EES) MNsure will automatically create an online account for all consumers who have QHP-eligibility in the current eligibility system (METS). This includes consumers who currently do not have an online account in METS. If the primary account holder has a valid email in the current system (METS), that email will become the username for their new MNsure account (MN-EES), and they will receive an email with instructions for activating their account during the transition process. Households without a valid email will receive information via mail which will detail steps the consumer must take to access their new online account by adding an email address. 

MNsure-certified assisters will have additional tools through their new MNsure portal to support consumers who do not have an email address or who cannot access their online account in MN-EES.
