Navigator Tip of the Week: Helpful METS and MN-EES Information

METS Navigator Portal accounts: We understand that everyone wants a METS Navigator Portal account as soon as possible. We are working on creating more accounts right now! Please do not set up a Login MN account until you receive the following two emails:

  1. An email from navigators@state.mn.us confirming that your account is ready.
  2. An email from noreply_Prod@login.mn.gov with instructions to register and activate your LoginMN account.

If you set up a Login MN account ahead of time, it will create issues and it will take longer to get your account. 

It is not necessary to have the METS Navigator Portal to assist clients in METS. The first step when applying for a consumer in METS is to have the client create a Login MN account so they can apply for health coverage online. If your consumer cannot create a Login MN account, you can either do a paper application or attempt to use MN-EES.

MN-EES tip: If you need to view what is on a consumer’s application, please select View application (rather than Edit application).

Choosing Edit Application starts the application over.  If you do not finish it completely, it will sit in ‘Resume Application’ status.  This will render the account unable to select a qualifying event or enroll. 

If you are truly reporting changes, select Edit Application and make the changes. along with completing the application all the way to the end, where the consumer will need to re-sign and submit.
