New HRA Offer from an Employer
You may qualify for a special enrollment period (SEP) if you have a new offer of a health reimbursement arrangement, or HRA, from an employer:
- Individual coverage health reimbursement arrangement (ICHRA)
- Qualified small employer health reimbursement arrangement (QSEHRA).

You or your dependent can apply for this SEP during the 60 days before the HRA benefits start.
Key Dates
- 60-day SEP begins:
- New employee: Employment start date
- Current employee: Date the HRA benefits start
- When you can enroll: During the 60-day window of your SEP.
- When your coverage starts: It cannot start before the HRA benefits start.
- If you select your plan before the date the HRA benefits start:
- Your coverage starts the first day of the month, after the date the HRA benefits start.
- If the HRA benefits start on the first day of a month, your coverage starts the same day the HRA benefits start.
- If you select your plan on or after the date the HRA benefits start:
- Your coverage starts the first day of the next month.
- If you select your plan before the date the HRA benefits start:

When you apply, the system will tell you what documents you must upload.
